Pastor Troy Bennett and Felicity Bennett share a passion for helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover their God-given purpose.
Troy found Christ at a young age and has dedicated his life to helping others grow through discipleship and spiritual development. Felicity, who was raised in a Christian home, committed her life to Christ as a teenager and has a deep passion for investing in children, students, and families.
After high school, Troy began his ministry journey by moving to Peoria, Illinois, where he served as a worship leader at New Covenant Church of God. It was there in 2018 that he met Felicity, and together they discovered a shared calling to serve God and His Church.
In 2019, Troy felt called to Houston, Texas, and Felicity soon followed. They were married in June 2020. With her degree in elementary education, Felicity played an important role in developing and leading children’s, youth, and nursery ministries at Forum Church.
In 2021, Troy and Felicity returned to Illinois to serve as student pastors at Passion Community Church. There, they focused on creating a place where students could experience authentic community, grow in their faith, and discover God’s purpose for their lives.
Over time, God began placing a deeper burden on Troy’s heart for the local church as a whole. He developed a passion for discipleship, developing leaders, and creating a culture where people are equipped to use their gifts and step into their calling.
In 2023, Troy and Felicity accepted the call to serve at Harrisburg First Church of God, where Troy served as senior pastor. During their time there, they focused on returning to the early church model of discipleship — helping people grow in their faith, raising up leaders from within the church, and creating a culture where ministry was shared by the whole body. After three years of ministry, they had the privilege of helping develop and raise up the next pastor to continue the work God was doing through that church.
In September 2025, Troy and Felicity accepted the call to serve as pastors of Danville Community Church of God. They have a deep love for the city of Danville and desire to serve, build relationships, and partner with the community in every way God opens the door.
Pastor Troy’s vision for developing leaders fits directly with the church’s mission of becoming a community that knows Jesus and makes Jesus known. Together, Troy and Felicity desire to see people transformed by Jesus, equipped to serve, and sent out to impact the world around them.
